Watched the game on tv perhaps now the curtains will fall from Marty Peets eyes and realise he’s. Very good half back in Keighran and the future with luck Farrimond so it’s time to stop with the Ryan Hampshire experiment which isn’t working and if the game calls for it move players round young Zac won’t let anyone down at centre it’s time to say goodbye and move on.

I only think Hampshire was getting picked because Farrimond is suspect in defence. He was again last night but the rest of the edge defence was much improved.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

I cant see hampshire being on our books next year tbh.Think keeping forber is more a priority as leeming can cover the halves

Can take him defence being dodgy,it is mainly because he’s still learning the ropes he just offers so much more for me than Hampshire has ever done attack is after all the best form of defence

Didn't expect to win when I saw that team. Superb win and a real testament to the spirit and ethos at the club under Peet/Wane/et al.

Surely at the end of the day, Farrimond is a pretty little guy. He is always going to be targetted in defence; he knows that, like all the smaller players do. He just has to work to be the best he can.

A solid performance from a makeshift team.

The thing about Keighran to me was how he responded to being given responsibility. We must find a way of using him more when Smithy and Bevan are back.

Similarly, we've got to find a role for Farrimond. I'm not making a direct comparison, but didn't we protect Shaun Edwards from being targeted by opposition forwards by giving him a brief to shadow behind the main line of defence?

Edwards played wing and full back at first. Totally different game back then. We have defensive systems now… I thought Farrimond made some great tackles, and do did Peet.

I've only just now seen the tries properly on the TV. And three belters they were too! So looking forward to seeing the full game now when it's available.

Fair point, just watching the game back now and, around 30 minutes, Walmsley then Lees run at Farrimond and he dumps them on their backsides on succesive tackles, not too shabby. Telling also how Walters and Dupree where there to finish the tackles off - we have learnt how to defend that tactic better.
