It was bloody awful! Watched Hull v London & our game then left I was sick of missing plays because of the number of people going up & down every few minutes for food, drink, the toilet or just standing in rhe walkways or on the steps blocking peoples view for no other reason than that they could!Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 10:22 pmFozzie, you couldn’t have put it any better. It is the first Magic I have missed, I enjoyed my time in the boozer. I think you will find it is the lowest turnout ever. Wait until you see tomorrow’s crowd.fozzie58 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 17, 2024 7:02 pm I love going to the magic and it’s an event I do not miss but I will never set foot in that shithole of a ground again,if all rugby league was to be played then well the sport and myself would part company I feel but it doesn’t thank god I just hope they’ve learnt their lesson and take it back to Newcastle next year from watching on the tv I’d say numbers are well down on the Newcastle years shudder to think what tomorrow will be like
There was no disabled access unless you were in a wheelchair! And I wasn’t the only one who struggled, it was bad enough for me but saw an old guy & two women with two elbow crutches each struggling up & down the steep steps to get to the seating area..The stewards inside the stadium didn’t assist anyone who were unsteady on their feet or who were using walking aids. The stewards outside were brilliant though & couldn’t do enough to help you.
And why there were police moving up & down the stands it’s beyond me. We are not football fans & there is rarely any problems. The policemen who were in our stand looked about 18 & couldn’t tackle a paper bag let alone if a group of fans did decided to cause bother.
Unless it was a training session for new recruits to show them how fans behave in Rugby League compared to football
I just hope we don’t have to go to that ground again!
