Kaide Ellis ‘can be proud of the way he’s playing’ as Wigan Warriors boss hails unsung hero
Kaide Ellis
I’ve been meaning to post about Kaide Ellis for sometime now.
He’s grown to a new level for me this year playing 13. Makes heaps of metres, links in with the half backs well and tackles for his life. And the added fact he looks like he can throw his weight around and won’t be intimidated by anyone.
I was a bit worried looking at him as a 13 this year but I personally think he’s been class and what a move by the coaching staff to put him at LF.
I know he’s copped a few bans but it doesn’t take much these days!
Any thoughts guys?

Re: Kaide Ellis
Absolutely on the money with that one.
Credit to him and coaching staff to improve and change him - much better player than I expected.
Unlucky to be banned this time, anyone with eyes could see that Nsemba knocked the player into him, giving 0 time to adjust.

Agreed. Personally I thought he had been generally quite average but this season he has been a revelation (could he be the complete player now he’s added a kicking game to his repertoire?
) One of my players of the season along with Thompson and Wardle.
Re: Kaide Ellis
Simply outstanding this year. So consistent in what he does and added so much to his game. As others have said, in the conversation for our best player this season.

Re: Kaide Ellis
Goes under the radar a bit similar to Farrell and Havard but when you look at his minutes and numbers week in week out you cannot deny his value and quality.
Players like Nsemba and Thompson stand out a little more which is why they get more plaudits.

Re: Kaide Ellis
Consistently good, plays big minutes and is a good link up player. He's more than filled the Smithies gap i think .

Mm! It’s Lockers who is spending a lot of time with Kaide, you can see it in his play
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
