KR looking good for the hub cap I think now as for saints well no more talk of driving for five from sky thank god truth is this is a major rebuild that was always coming no matter who was in charge I do have a certain amount of sympathy for Wellens as it’s a tough ask to give what was a rookie coach.

But he will be gone by next season,April time unless things improve

HKR will have to beat Wigan to do so. That game will decide who wins the LLS.

Luck, in terms of injuries, is certainly on their side. They have played very well over the last couple of months and they deserve to be at the top of the pile. The same happened before the CC semi-final and we put them back into their box. If we produce our best on any given day we will win. If they win in two weeks time then I will be one of the first to congratulate them. Six weeks is a long time in a sport as brutal as RL.

I think the answer to the question can KR sustain the challenge season after season is wether thy can keep hold of Willie Peters the style of play he has them at present is good to watch,I stand by what I say I think they’ll win the cap and then fade away this season but my they have been very lucky with injuries that’s for sure

however, you've got to give them credit as a club, they've come a long way in the last few years both on and off the pitch and Willie Peters has them playing some good rugby with some journeymen (dont want this bit to sound derogatory though) / players who perhaps arent household names, especially in the pack where they build a solid platform for the backs to play from

Neil Hudgell visited Robin Park last season & was amazed with the facilities here & also how the club was run. His comments were that “this is exactly how I want Rovers to be!”

That’s what he is doing. Using us as a blueprint. He was equally impressed with the Fanzone with all the photos & references to our history & our past players.

Agreed Peter’s has built on the work Tony Smith started and has done it very well the style they play is good to watch,they are coping with whatever injuries come at them,I notice Gildart was out the other day you couldn’t tell really as they hammered saints.as I say to me the key is Willie Peters if they can keep him then they can go onwards I feel if they lose him well who knows.

But KR have taken advantage this season and good luck to them.as I say I doubt they’ll win the grand final but the league is theirs to lose.

i've been taking notice of KR for a few years now. All the little things (and some bigger) have built into the club we are seeing today. The matchday experience has massively improved including the proper stand at North end of the ground, plus the craven streat where theres a good selection of food / beers on game day

Willie Peters is contracted to 2028, so as long as they can keep hold of him, we may see them there or there abouts for the next couple of seasons, but much will depend on the usual recruitment / rotation of squad year on year. I know Hall is already going, and Parcell cant be far off retiring, and is still a cracking hooker, and it seems to work well with his rotation with Litten. As you say, the backline is solid with Hall, Opacic, Hiku and Burgess most likely 1st choice, with Gildart a good backup to cover both centre and wing.

Opacic is leaving HKR after this season, presumably hoping to get another NRL gig?

HKR have already signed JWH from the Roosters along with Micky Mac and Martin from Leeds.
Some uncompromising players there and Martin will solve their goal kicking problems.
