NRL Playoffs

Post by KieronC »

Has anyone been watching the NRL Playoffs?

What are your thoughts about the results so far and how do you see the semis and final going?

Are you cheering on (or against!) anyone in particular?

I’ve been surprised by how one sided most of the games have been.

I’m looking forward to the Storm v Roosters, if the Roosters turn up it will be a great game otherwise another one-sided game.

I can’t see past a Storm v Panthers final which is just anyone’s game.

I like the Sharks, but they have a terrible record against Penrith, and I don't expect that to change at the weekend. Everyone's saying a Storm/Panthers GF is nailed on, and it would be a surprise if it wasn't.

I never want Melbourne to win, although they have some wonderful players.

I went there a few years ago and they do seem full of themselves( although still nice). Also went to penrith who were someof the most down to earth people i ever met but they rugby mad( very much like wiganers)

I am envious; I'll never get to Australia now! I remember at one time, thinking how I'd have loved to have seen Benji Marshall in his pomp at Leichhardt Oval!

I have a soft spot for the Sharks which I think I can trace back to Mat Rogers but it's hard to see them beating Penrith. Even if they do, I'm not sure they have it in then to win a semi and a final (beating Penrith and potentially Melbourne back to back would be tough for anyone).

I agree with the you guys that it'll likely be a Penrith and Melbourne final. The Roosters will need to be on their game tomorrow but then again with a knock out there's still a chance!

I find it hard to cheer for Melbourne to!

That’s what I thought.
Been abit disappointed with it, usually more competitive.
