Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

So how does the system actually work? Is it as simple as literally giving 3, or 2, or 1 Point to three players in a game, and then totting them up? Or is there more to than that? Do they deduct points for red and yellow cards?

Doesn't make sense to me French is an excellent player but as been injured this season and he's the only Wigan player on the list.where are players like Liam Marshall leading try scorer Jake Wardle classy player best centre in my opinion in super league.kade Ellis . Unbelievable 🤔💯.

The current system is completely broken, the only true result was last year with Bevan winning, otherwise it is just "a big fish in a small pond" type of player winning it, Brodie Croft is a prime example.

Jon Wilkin makes a good point, that the Man of Steel should come from a silverware winning team.

But this year, as much as I can't stand him, Mikey Lewis would be a good winner of it, no way should it be Dufty or Sneyd.

with Croft, Moylan and Miller on this list, it just shows how flawed this whole process is

Moylan in the main has been dire when i've seen him, and with Leeds ripping up SL i can see why they've got 2 players in the top10 (NOT), it just doesnt stack up at all

From Wigan alone, there should be Thompson, Ellis, Marshall or Wardle in there based on performances all year round

KR i would have Seu Seu, Minchella at minimum as they've performed week in week out too

so this year, i think its just going to be a complete farce, unless Lewis wins it, but he's only the media darling at the minute but probably most deserving of the others on the list

Why is everyone getting so worked up about the list above? It was cut off at round 16…
