Post by josie andrews »

* ABBA tribute act, Voulez-Vous, to perform before Saturday’s Betfred Super League play-off semi-final against Leigh Leopards.

* Take to your seats from 4:30pm to enjoy iconic hits from the Swedish pop group.

* With more than 15,000 tickets already sold, secure your semi-final seat HERE.

ABBA’S ORIGINAL TRIBUTE ACT, VOULEZ-VOUS, WILL PERFORM AHEAD OF OUR BETFRED SUPER LEAGUE PLAY-OFF SEMI-FINAL AGAINST LEIGH LEOPARDS.

The Warriors take on the Leopards in a highly anticipated Battle of the Borough clash this Saturday evening (5:30pm K.O.) as Matt Peet’s side aim to reach back-to-back Betfred Super League Grand Finals.

With more than 15,000 tickets sold, the Club can confirm the official, original, and one of the most successful ABBA tribute acts, Voulez-Vous, will perform pre-match inside The Brick Community Stadium.

Make sure to take to your seat from 4:30pm when Voulez-Vous will perform iconic hits from the Swedish pop group, ABBA.

After much demand, the light up goal posts, as seen in our Betfred World Club Challenge victory over Penrith Panthers, will return for the semi-final alongside a laser and fireworks display to welcome both sides onto the pitch.

Don’t miss out on an explosive evening of knock-out rugby league by securing your tickets online HERE. Supporters can also purchase tickets from The Brick Community Stadium Ticket Office.

WARNING: Matchday entertainment will be complimented by pyrotechnics, fireworks and flashing lights which may not be suitable for people with photosensitive epilepsy.

I wish that was tickets sold by Wigan but I think it includes Leigh’s allocation.

Should be free for season ticket holders until we have a few years of sell-outs. Its one single game a season if you're good enough to get in the top 4.

I do think they’ve a bit of a cheek charging full whack for this game as you say it should be in the cost of a season ticket

And if we didn’t get into the semi supporters would complain saying the price was baked in for a game we didn’t play.

Wigan are in financial issue, as you saw by the last club accounts, the club therefore need to increase there revenues in many areas whilst reducing costs.

You would expect a big marketing / promotion campaign combined with a bit of a reduction would result in greater revenue.

Have they done anything out of the norm to promote this game and encourage increased attendance?
