Enjoyed the game and thought the worst aspect was the refereeing. I know it is presumptive, but already purchased tickets for next years final.
However, unless ive drunk too much, but why was Peet wearing a necklace of twixs?
Ha ha Paddy’s partner, Bella, came down at the side of me with a bag, he jumped over the rails & came to where she proceeded to put necklace upon necklace all made up of chocolate bars round his neck! He went back onto the pitch & gave them out to all the team & Matt! It was hilarious.
Think it has something to do with traditional ‘Lei’s"from the South Sea Islands

I agree, it was 80 minutes that showcased the grit and connection that makes our game so special. I’m so proud of the entire team, the coaching team and the squad players who didn’t make the 17. I thought it was a classic throwback to a proper RL contest. To play for over 5 hs in 4 games and not concede a try is beyond special. We may not never get another chance to see this so take it in everyone.
Awesome support behind the posts and yet another memorable night following the greatest sports team on the planet. Thought Thompson &/Ellis were huge again in the middle.
Anyway. Enjoy the moment everyone. We’ve got a very special group here and an absolute genius in Bevan
Agree 100%. So pleased for everyone at the club and if this never happens again how lucky are we to have witnessed the greatest rugby league team ever.

Job done. Thought we would have won by more but i think the rain and a little bit of bad luck stopped that. Still home to re watch and 2 points conceded in three games is unreal. I thought smith easily was mom but very happy french got his try walking through the turnstyle( i mean mikey lewis) sorry
Lewis only kicked that penalty so they wouldn't be nilled!
Too true Josie but would Wigan have done that, I suspect not. It was so annoying as well that we were penalised for that late shove by Thompson after our defence had again worked miracles to stop KR on the try line. Mrs B tells me I am a miserable old s-d but I am peeved that we conceded that needless penalty. How much better would 4 scoreless games and nilling a side in the Grand Final have looked.
Still mustn't be greedy, we can do it next year.

Who were the idiots fighting with each other in the Stretford End. It happened about 15 minutes before the end of the game. One of them looked in a right mess. There were kids all around them who looked frightened to death. We certainly don't need this in our game. Morons.

I don't think it was a crap game at all, I thought it was a good contest. Wigan's defence held solid, and KR largely fluffed the few chances they had. First v second, deservedly so, and class told out in the end.
Class is the right word.
Exciting team comprising of skilful, resolute players led by a coach with universal regard and fine support.
Has a feel of the mid-to-late eighties borne of being smart and not just a big chequebook.
Awesome really. I didn't feel quite as confident as at the Cup Final when after 5 minutes I was sure we'd win but very early, I couldn't see how HKR were ever going to score a try.
I'm assuming that the ref had some instructions from above or maybe wanted to keep it 13 a side (which I'm all in favour of) but Budgie was lucky and the 'orrible Lewis (was he really playing in the match?) should have got 10 minutes for that tip tackle. Hugely impressive was the way that Ellis kept everyone back when Lewis tried to deflect by starting a ruck.
Talking Of Ellis, noticeable how he runs the match in the first PTBs like SOL used to. Great credit to him and to MP for seeing that potential at loose-forward.
As for Thompson - Blimey - isn't he good! French had to be MOM but Ellis or Thompson could well have won it.
Also, brilliant touch from the club having Mike Cooper bring the trophy out at the start of the match.
Now what are we going to do for several months?

They’ve either got to stop selling alcohol at games or make it an earlier KO, too many idiots at the games now who can’t drink responsibly!
Before the game even started, on the row across from me, someone was sick & vomited all over two people in front one a child!
Four paramedics had to come & see to the drunken person who had now collapsed! He ended up being chair lifted out of the ground, a young man, absolutely paralytic! Disgusting!
Then the cleaners had to come & clean all the sick, shit & piss he left in that row!
