Don’t be such misogynist's!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Martin Offiah calls for Wigan Warriors to win major BBC award to recognise historic success
Martin Offiah has called for all-conquering Wigan Warriors to be crowned the 2024 BBC Sports Personality Team of the Year following their glorious quadruple.
Matt Peet’s men became the first side in the Super League era to complete a clean sweep of all four trophies in the same year after beating Hull Kingston Rovers in Saturday’s Grand Final.

And this is where the problem is with our sport (not Martin's fault)josie andrews wrote: ↑Thu Oct 17, 2024 8:07 am Martin Offiah calls for Wigan Warriors to win major BBC award to recognise historic success

Martin Offiah is probably the last household name to come from RL, and he still appears on TV quite regularly. The sport has prevented any stars from making their name nationally like Offiah
we've had discussions previously about the SC restriction on a player earning outside of the sport, but its about time it was abolished, and if player X can get an advertising contract, then let them do it, and the RFL / SL / IMG should be supporting and pushing our players into the public limelight (if they want it). Scully was the last RL player most of us can recall appearing in the early 2000s when he was the face of Gillette
RL players in the main, have bodies that most of us men would die for. Advertising uses chiselled men and gorgeous women all the time to sell their products, so why stop RL players from taking advantage of this
