Australia v Tonga: did anybody watch?

It looked a far cry from the days when the Kangaroos were in a different league to everyone else, I thought.

I didn't get to see the final but wasn't overly impressed with their group stage display. I wasn't sure if it was me expecting too much or if maybe the gap is closing a bit between some of the sides. I can't quite put my finger on it but the team selection didn't really stand out as all conquering even though they had high quality players all over the place.

Tonga have some brilliant NRL players which probably accounts for the show they put up.
Still think the Aussies are the best but I'd agree the gap in quality is closing.
Really enjoyed the match.
