They moved from an old stadium that was perfectly located for their fan base to a new stadium on the outskirts of Eccles with nothing around it and appalling poor access. They both restricted their older fan base attending and made it lest tempting for any neutrals to just attend as traveling to it is a commitment due to Trafford.traffic.Mike wrote: ↑Fri Nov 22, 2024 7:25 pm If they took 500k early last season, isnt needing 500k again this season compatible with a break even year? They're in the same situation now as they were then so it's no worse. It's an advance, not extra fuding.
However it's concerning they can't make it to financial viability. They're never going to be doing any better than they are now, so if the fans and money aren't there now it's a concern for when their onfield performance drops off.
I wonder how many finance points they scored!![]()

These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.

It's easier now from Manchester as you can get tram or bus to the traffic centre and the shuttle over or walk. Before that there was only one road and the motorway which dumped you on the same road.Caboosegg wrote: ↑Sat Nov 23, 2024 10:05 amThey moved from an old stadium that was perfectly located for their fan base to a new stadium on the outskirts of Eccles with nothing around it and appalling poor access. Are you saying they're crowds are down after the move from the willows though. If I remember correctly they only ever got 2-3000 there in recent times as well.

I’d say the last couple of seasons Salford have improved their crowds from the willows days always a big ask to grab new supporters with that well known football club down the road
