Wigan Warriors’ top 10 Super League try-scorers of all-time including trio of current stars

Post by josie andrews »

Wigan Warriors have virtually always been in the mix as being the cream of the crop in British rugby league, and they’re certainly that at the moment having won all four major honours on offer in 2024.

Below, we run through the Warriors‘ top 10 Super League try-scorers of all-time, with play-off games included.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

So barring anything untoward Marshall to become Wigans top super league try scorer this year

Here's one for the stats geeks (like me):

Matches played per try scored:

Faz: 2.68 (he scored 1 try every 2.68 matches).

Rads: 1.74
Dallas: 1.65
Jason R: 1.40
Paddy: 1.33
Sam T: 1.27
Budgie: 1.25
Marshy: 1.18
Bevan: 1.17

And the clear winner is . . . (drum roll...)

Josh Charnley, the Chorley Charger, with an incredible try every 1.05 matches.
