Knight hood?
Surely Kevin Sinfield CBE should be honoured?

If there is any justice. Having said that the system is a disgrace.

Sadly it hasn’t happened but I am at least comforted by the news that Sadiq Khan has been knighted for his services in ruining our capital city.
Re: Knight hood?
Sinfield will be knighted when the requisite time from his last honour has elapsed.
The real scandal is that we have a Labour government with the MP for Wigan as Minister for Sport and still yet another honours list has passed without a knighthood for Billy Boston

It annoys me when people get recognised for simply doing their jobs. I have no issue with anyone receiving a knighthood etc. for going beyond.

Re: Knight hood?
It’s been discussed many times. Think it’s about time to stop all these "knighthoods" now we have gone past King Arthur & his Knights, it’s not the same now as it was first supposed to be.
These people aren’t going into battle to defend our King/Queen & the country!
Can you just see Sadik Khan defending this country? He’d run a fecking mile! Barsteward!
They are handed out willy nilly to anyone or anybody these days! Get shut of it!A knight was supposed to show bravery, strength and skill in battle (this was called prowess), to respect women, to defend the weak and the poor, to be generous to others and loyal to his lord, his family and his friends.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Two Super League owners named in New Year’s honours list as Kevin Sinfield absence explained
Huddersfield Giants owner Ken Davy and his Leeds Rhinos counterpart Paul Caddick are among four figures from rugby league to be recognised in the King’s New Year’s Honours List.
Davy has been given an OBE for his services to community rugby league after his lengthy stint as owner of the Giants. Caddick, who assumed ownership of Leeds Rhinos in 1996 and has helped deliver a golden period of success at AMT Headingley, has been given an MBE for services to sport.

Sinfield has raised millions of pounds to support those living with Motor Neurone Disease, with his latest fundraiser earlier this month captivating the attention of the nation. But he was awarded a CBE last year and time restrictions surrounding the honours list meant it was unlikely he would have been given further accolades in such a short space of time.
