Every Wigan Warriors player free to leave at the end of the 2025 season as things stand
RECRUITMENT and retention is part and parcel of being a rugby league club, but with December 1 now the new deadline for Super League clubs to be able to talk to off-contract players, clubs are now scrambling to nail down their stars for the year after.
That means that Super League sides will not just be looking to add players for 2025, but also 2026.
In the twelfth article of this series, here are all five Wigan Warriors players free to leave at the end of the 2025 Super League season with their contracts coming to an end:
Liam Byrne, Jacob Douglas, Liam Farrell, Willie Isa, Adam Keighran.

Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Isa to retire the others will be re-signed on deals of various terms.

Excited to see if there are other breakouts this year - good chance with Lowe, Hodkinson, Douglas and Kerr.Charriots Offiah wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 10:03 pmWiganer Ted wrote: ↑Tue Dec 31, 2024 3:30 pm Isa to retire the others will be re-signed on deals of various terms.![]()

I'd like to see us hang on to Adam Keighran if we can; I think he's a player who's still improving for Wigan.

Totally agree, he has really settled in pretty quickly

If Keighran leaves Eckersley will go to centre. The problem would be replacing his goal kicking unless Smith improves.
