I bet the refereeing interpretations at the start of the season will be a complete surprise to the players and coaches too and eventually will be quietly toned down.

TBH the backdated points does seem like it should have been communicated and agreed. It's making rules retroactively for last year. The system seems harsh but transparent, but the imposition of points for this year based on points you didn't know you were accruing last year seems the opposite!

There is no prolems with this system. Any problem is self inflicted. Coaches should coach "the rules,players play within the rules result no penalties,no slates to be cleared(,no carry over of accrued points) non to carry over) Simple! Well no..... This is RL ...... "Macho mentality ( little commonsense) sad really !
