Important to get some minutes in those legs. It was exactly the same last season, we were very clunky for the first half dozen games or so however, I expect us to shorten that time frame this season given the Vegas trip. I think the Sheffield tie will be good for us as we will need to play our first team. Regarding today’s match, Leeds look a better team, much of that can be put down to the coach who has instilled some good habits. Our try line defence, early in the game, was poor but as the half continued we started to dominate field position. We were never going to win the game given the amount of substitutes we used in the second half however, we still managed to compete well against an experienced Leeds outfit. Pluses for me, Hill played well again as did Mago and Makin.

So happy to have rugby back, got soaked on the west terrace at Leeds and now stuck on the M62 with queues as far as I can see.

Thanks to someone posting that the game was on Wigan TV I managed to watch it. Agree with all the above - first time I've seen Makin and he looked impressive. Hill looks like this season could be his big step up and I can understand why we're letting Byrne go.

Us too.

Tyler Dupree was the only Wigan player to come to the wall & thank those of us who stayed to clap them off 😊
Messaged Matt Peet to thank him for us when we finally got home.

Discovered that I left my bag with my flask etc but also my ‘illegal seat’ which I sat on well before the game started to be told the West stand was "standing only"!!! I was spotted sitting on a stool by the "security cameras", they told a steward to take it away from me! I didn’t let her & put it in my bag which I have subsequently bloody well left at the stadium! Going to have to ring Leeds tomorrow to see if the security have picked it up 🤦‍♀️

Aye I commented to my friend that Lockers was coach today, Matt didn’t even travel on the team bus😂😂

Anyone who went and stood on that terrace for 2/3 hours yesterday deserves priority when it comes to Grand Final tickets etc.

Mad commitment!

😂😂 We got there at 12.30.

Two owd biddies, needing the toilet, parked up & asked could we use the toilet & then go back to sit in the car for a little while until it stopped raining.

“No, once you go through the gate you can’t come back out"!

We were there before the team & Matt Peet, who travelled in his own vehicle.
