Wigan Warriors meet Manchester United
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

They won the FA Cup the last 2 seasons in a rowWintergreen wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:16 pm Nice for the Utd boys to get close to a trophy...........![]()

Considering this is probably the worst man utd team for about 40 years, they're still winning a lot more trophies than many other 'big' clubs.
Anyway, great publicity for us. Man Utd is a huge 'brand' seen the world over
Re: Wigan Warriors meet Manchester United
Is it great publicity? Is it on the Man U Socials or just Wigan. What about it helps Wigan?Blackpool_Pie wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 12:26 amThey won the FA Cup the last 2 seasons in a rowWintergreen wrote: ↑Mon Feb 10, 2025 9:16 pm Nice for the Utd boys to get close to a trophy...........![]()

I watched it and just though it's a couple of millionaires smiling at a bunch of players who have go put their body on the line for a pittance (in comparison)
With the GF being at Old Trafford any extra interested from man u fans has probably already happened.
These are two reasons not to trust people.
1. We don't know them.
2. We do know them.

Ive seen a lot of fan site type twitter accounts with a huge number of followers talking about this and tweeting the video. The first one I came across when I did a quick search was "Stretford Paddock" run by a guy who went to the grand final against Wire a few years back and made a video about it and put it on YouTube. The twitter accound has 663k followers which is more than 5 times as many as Wigan Warriors official page.Caboosegg wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 8:16 amIs it great publicity? Im not sure what impact it will have, but just on that reach alone, it's huge for the club. That's a single example and the first I found when I searched. The reach will be ridiculous just being associated with Manchester United. Weather theyre a good team, weather the players are any good, weather we like football or care about it, this bit of footage will reach millions upon millions of people who didn't even know rugby league existed.

It doesn't have to be anymore than a bit of fun for the players and a bit of publicity for Super League, Sky and Wigan.Caboosegg wrote: ↑Tue Feb 11, 2025 8:16 amIs it great publicity?
