Thought Sam Walters played really well when he came on tonight.
Definitely offers more than Harvey Hill.
Should have played himself into the 17 for next week.

Agree on Sam, excellent game today.

Hill had an amazing pre-season, he will come strong again.

We are in a great position as a squad - O'Neil and Havard to come back, great reserves and some raw talent developing nicely in the Academy.

Ideal bench player if he can play various positions. Did play well from what I saw missed first 15 minutes.

Well I'd been calling for him to be played at prop so I was hoping he'd get enough time to make an impact and he definitely did that. I thought he looked a bit leaner than last season, maybe that was to improve his mobility out wide but it doesn't seem to have affected his strength in the carry as he was probably our most effective ball carrying prop.

He ended the match as our best metre making forward and has pretty much guaranteed that he'll keep his place for next week. It also gave us the benefit of taking Nsemba off which is an option we don't really have when playing Hill on the bench.

I'm looking forward to how he plays for the rest of the season as he's too good to be sat in the stand.

He is a prop, he has not got the skill set to play back row. It wouldn’t surprise me if Wigan dipped into the market in mid season for second row reinforcements.
