The first half score wasn't a fluke, neither was the second half score and result.
Obviously off the game in the first 40 and Hudds deserved their HT lead.
The second half showed what the Wigan lads are capable of.
Hudds are bottom of the league and then second half told us why.
Astounding crowd of over 17,600.
Certainly a game of two half’s. I was surprised when they announced the crowd.
Hudds seemed to think the game finished at half time and Wigan that is started.
At least Moore didn’t slow it down to a crawl like he did v Leigh but his decision that was overturned by the captains challenge was ridiculous. He was on the other side of the ruck and can’t possibly have seen it but blew anyway and denied Wigan a certain try.
I also think Hill’s try that was presumably disallowed for obstruction is one where it only looks like obstruction if you stop the motion on a certain frame. I am not sure what our player was supposed to do. Evaporate?
Really impressed with the team today. The lads looked flat/tired as you would expect and it took a big effort in the second half to beat a side that fancied their chances. After a good first half the giants must have thought that it was their day. A loss today would have undone some of the good work from last week. The wire result shows that our lads are mentally stronger and better prepared so well done to everybody involved. I'd imagine that the lads still won't recover fully before the Hull game but I'm sure they'll be good enough to start another cup run. Today was a lovely day for a game of summer rugby the crowd was great and the mighty Warriors roll on.

Maybe jet lag and celebrations in Vegas .but still a win sometimes we expect to much of them.keep on winning
Definitely. I would have been happy with a one point win.

I think it was right to disallow Hill’s try, Byrne needed to push through the defensive line rather than stop.

It's up to the attacking player to get all the way through the line before they stop, so it's his responsibility. For me it's fine because having criteria like that adds consistency to decisions.
A great performance today I'd say. Hudds played well in the first half but our class shone through. Job done and back in the regular season grind now

Well this is not going to plan.
What Faz was playing at on the last tackle to give then a penalty from which they go to scire only he knows.
Playing on past reputation now I’m afraid.
Time has caught up with Faz.
Just check his stats week in week out. He’s not going to be as good as he was in his mid twenties but he is still good enough.
You're absolutely right, Chariots.
At some point last season, I began to wonder if Faz was fading. I started to notice him more after that, and soon realised that he contributes massively. Add to that the fact that we have relatively young kids in the squad, and the influence and example that he gives them, on and off the pitch, and he's good for this season and next, I reckon.
Smith’s 2 x 40/20’s were a proper game changer. Was up there for mom I thought.
Any disciplinary concerns for his tackle leading up to that great Hudds try late on in the 1st half ?
Can’t see Smith getting much, a point or two. He went over the top, their player didn’t stay down and the game carried on. Was poor technique from Smith though and the new points system is supposed to be designed to make him correct his technique in future without missing games for his one error.

The idea that Faz isn't good enough anymore is madness. Not as good as when he was in his prime for sure, but the distance between his prime and not being good enough for us is massive.
It took a while for people to recognise what Isa brought to the team (myself included) and Faz is still giving us more.
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan
