Cas v Hull

Post by widdenoldboy »

Spirited performance by both teams, Hull continue to improve.
For us, Eseh was just starting to show some form and took a bad knock.

The knock seemed bad due to his reaction, but he was about to stay on until the referee said if he stayed on he would get green carded. I don't see it being as bad as it first seemed

i found myself getting frustrated with the ref again as i posted the other day. i seem more bothered by the inconsistencies of neutral games, than that of ours as i can take the blinkers off

1st half he pinged Cas, but let Hull get away with the same, and that took the game away, although i must admit Cas were pretty poor as well. The potb that led to the final try, was a poor decision. Clear as day he played the ball and was pushed back. 30s later and Hull had scored again, instead of Cas having a penalty and the ball on Hulls line

got into the 2nd half and turned off just after the 2nd sin binning

I must admit i like Ese Ese (sp) and he made good yards / offloads everytime he took the ball in, but god Sky didnt have go on about him. Sezer is playing well and controlling the play for hull.

i know we are stacked with hookers but i was impressed with Rimbu, good quality distribution and a real turn of pace, but Bourough also had a decent game.

I didn’t watch the game was busy but Stephen came & said at that point, I’ve turned it off! I’m not watching that! First Innes sin inning & then the penalty for Hull at the PTB!
Anyone can support a team when it is winning, that takes no courage.
But to stand behind a team, to defend a team when it is down and really needs you,
that takes a lot of courage. #18thMan

Don't understand why Cas didn't use the Captain's Challenge re the PTB, would have been a significant difference at that point.

The innes sin bin was a joke.It wasnt high and he could have no way pulled out of that tackle. Its getting to the point were defenders are gonna pull out of tackles to avoid bans.As for the ptb, what a joke. You cant be penalises coz the ball isnt on its side and doesnt roll evenly.Come on we need to get a grip.As for hulls prop( esa esa)Hes great with ball in hand but definitely goes missing when the defensive duties start

it was a strange one. The lad who played the ball was 100% it was played properly, but as we've already seen with many challenges, the players arent always correct, but i also think there is a reluctance to over-rule the ref at times too, but this one IMO would have 100% been over-ruled

at 6-12, and on the Hull line, i agree it made a massive difference as 30s later they were 6-18 down. I'm not saying Cas would have scored, but they certainly wouldnt have been under their own sticks awaiting a conversion

i completely agree

he nailed him 1 on 1, and came up with a knock on. Cue VR, and he's off for 10 minutes

the irony of the potb, is it was probably one of the only ones where the player placed it on the floor, rolled it back with his foot, and was pushed by the defender to make it look messy.

Thought Moore had a very poor game. He was utterly dreadful in our Leigh game, not as bad as that last night but still very poor.
