Prop Issues

Post by widdenoldboy »

Running short for next week - Byrne, Hill, Walters should be ok, no Mago , Dupree, Havard or Thompson.

Makin is getting a run for Salford today but may pick up a ban for a poor tackle even if we can recall him from loan?

What about Eseh?

Ive no confidence in byrne so maybe bring esah back and use kerr at loose to free up ellis as prop. Also oneill at loose is an option.Hull also have their injuries and a possible ban to cust so will make it interesting

Imagine not replacing veteran props with veteran props, what's the worst that could happen

Eseh coming back makes sense, one more for us, one less for them... Makin and Chan are possibles also..

I think Tiaki Chan is on a week by week loan so it should be fairly easy for him to be recalled. Eseh is on a year long loan and if it's only going to be a short term thing it may be more beneficial to leave him there.

Chan is also having probably the best game I've seen him have for Salford this evening. Maybe just extra determined against his old club.

I'm worried how the disciplinary will treat Sam Walters.
He got the same yellow card as Mbye and the contacts were as different as you could get.
I do hope the Dis Comm don't treat both the same as the Saints player fell into Sam whereas Mbye went after Zac with his shoulder.
Sam should be ok but you never know!

Kerr is not ready to step up, he’s a very good player but he needs to get more Championship rugby under his belt to help with his development.
