Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
Yet another game ruined by inept refereeing and video reviews taking forever.
I have always said that the video ref is a complete waste of time, we need to get rid of it, the refs have become too over-reliant on it, they can't make a decision anymore.
I am expecting the first day of magic to finish at about 11:00pm, with 3 games of inept refereeing.

Very important that we start to push back against this officiating nonsense in public when we are winning games comfortably. When we are allowed to get quick ruck speed we kill teams with our forwards and Bevan etc finish them off the back of that. Felt like that game went on forever and all the while Hull get extended rest breaks to hang in the game. We could’ve had 60 if Smith was officiating with some fairness and common sense .

I’ve not watched the game I went the cinema instead this captains challenge along with the video ref are killing the game, where’s the drama Jesus wept enough scrap it and get back to the old ways of doing things

Sorry to interrupt the ref thread, but I thought big Sam had another great game. Harvie Hill probably his best performance I can remember, and Miski worth a mention too - though obviously not excluding others - a great all-round team effort.

Matty Peet not a happy bunny in his post match interview. "People making the game harder than it should be" he said .
Thinly veiled dig at Mr Smiths handling of both our Hull/HKR away games then pulling his headphones off in disgust.

Walters just looks at ease against every one he is coming up against in the middle. Miski was outstanding, as was Bevan except for some defensive lapses and we got Thompson and Keighran some minutes. Now we need to wait to see what the MRP can find to hit us with some points.

Yep another Walters masterclass this guy is special, great vision from Wigan to get him in . Him and Nsemba the future yes please
Re: Wigan squad for Hull FC (SLR9)
When Keighran made that break in midfield, they were saying, has he got the pace... well, perhaps not, but he was looking around for someone to pass too like he was a prop-forward!
I did expect him to run upfield a bit further than that.

The reffing stats thing is clearly on his mind, but I think he's unhappy with Sky Sports generally these days.EDINBURGH-WARRIOR wrote: ↑Sun Apr 27, 2025 5:46 pm Matty Peet not a happy bunny in his post match interview. "People making the game harder than it should be" he said .
