"We have brought in a young forward called Jordan James from Swinton this week. He is a back-row forward and the fans have to realise it is very hard to recruit any high-profile or established player at the moment. Clubs in Super League and the NRL are loathe to release them."

Re: second row forward sig...
The deal is to the end of the current season with a longer deal if he is a success. I don't know this lad but some of the postings are verging on the hysterical. ' Millwards building a team for Div 1.' according to Stevethered. Have you ever heard such garbage?pie eaters posted:
If this is definate then how long is the deal? Its obviously its a replacement for Hock who is out for the season and prescotts injury as well as forced Millwards hand.

Yep! I suppose, though, young Jordan would probably agree he's not in the same bracket as Solomona.DaveO posted:Oh dear.GeoffN posted:

Re: second row forward sig...
If he has signed for the rest of the season, then the chances are he is going to be playing for a new contract next year. All being well, this is going to give us someone with passion and drive.billyboy posted:The deal is to the end of the current season with a longer deal if he is a success. I am sure Jordan has no illusions about his abilities or this signing but I couldn't believe the wording of the press release!GeoffN posted:

From the Swinton club site:
Jordan James
Former Sheffield Eagles player who moved to Castleford last season when he was offered a full-time contract. Won the Supporters Club Player of the Year in 2004 while at Sheffield. Also a Welsh international who played alongside Ian Watson in the Euro-Nations Cup.
Date Of Birth 24 May 1980 Age 25
Height 1.86 m Weight 96.2 kg
Not very good with this metric stuff, but I make that about 6'1" and 15 stone?
