Lam. I think Anderson's overrated, McLennan or whoever won't come, and Kear is simply awful. What else is there?

Re: Who would you like to ...
Both GB and Aus have part time coaches. Why would a smaller set up like NZ need a full time coach? Anyway, how much do you reckon the Kiwi's will be paying him?PorterjohLam posted:
Because he just recently signed a new deal with New Zealand - why would he leave a relatively comfortable easy job to join an awful team like us.
Yes, we are awful, but he is young and ambitious and we are still a massive name in world rugby.
At the end of the day I may have been misinformed, but my sources are usually pretty good!!

Wouldn't Lam be slumming just as much?

Who would really want to take this Job? (well I know the compo is great for a few months work)
But unless ML goes a Wigan coach will NEVER be a Wigan coach they are just puppets to the mighty one!!!!
I think ML should be down there with the team coaching his moves and tatics & defence (lets face it hes kept himself comfortable up top with them long enough) with the squad we have now!!!!!!!!!! lets see just what he can do and then who he would blame.

The Australian View:
Anderson favourite for Wigan spot
By Laine Clark
April 12, 2006
ANOTHER chance for ex-Test mentor Chris Anderson has emerged after English rugby league battler Wigan sensationally sacked Australian coach Ian Millward today (AEST).
After missing out on recent head coach vacancies at England's Hull and NRL club Canberra, Anderson is expected to be asked to replace Millward by Wigan chairman and "close friend" Maurice Lindsay.
Anderson has been friends with Lindsay for years and heads a queue of candidates that reportedly includes Sharks assistant and ex-Wigan, Queensland and Papua New Guinea halfback Adrian Lam.

Would he really put a friend in this position?
How long would their friendship last?
