If Brian Noble is appointed, then we have really lost it.
1. First up, are we seriously saying that we got rid of IM without someone being in place ??
2. Have we learned nothing about appointing knee-jerk reaction coaches with no historic or emotional ties to the club?
3. BN is tactically very limited. He has taken charge of a club that has been developed over a number of years, and been able to sustain the progress to a certain extent. Already this season Bradford are showing signs that their star is waning. I'm not saying he has no qualities- he was a cracking player IMO, and I don't think he's a bad coach, but we need a messiah, not another jobbing coach with one eye on his GB job.
What price Graham Lowe in charge with Edwards as his assistant ?

You mean like Ian Millward?2. Have we learned nothing about appointing knee-jerk reaction coaches with no historic or emotional ties to the club?
For what its worth I think Millward had a definite plan for the future at Wigan but he came unstuck because he was showing limited tactics.3. BN is tactically very limited. The defence is rubbish and he didn't change it for example. Millward wanted the players to play his way, they could not and when they could not he could not adapt.
His only response was to make what most people considered odd selections by playing players out of position.
It is a pity things didn't work out with Millward because I do think he had his master plan and I am left wondering what might have been. If only we had got off to a winning start with an easier game than Les Cats it may have been different but unfortunately when things started to go badly Millward became the architect of his own downfall.
Noble may be one dimensional tactically but Millward's tactics have not been successful either. IN the end they cost him his job.

Yeah,ok, not realistic, but I still maintain that GL was far and away the best coach we've had in the last 30 years.jinkin jimmy posted:

I genuinely hope I'm wrong about Noble, and I've not got anything against him as such, but I think he's another of the wrong type of coach we've been appointing for the last few years
Re: BIG,BIG MISTAKE
you need to be more realistic anmd less anal , a return to old fashion values is needed , lets get peter fox with maurice bamford as his number 2 .

If he is the wrong man for the job we may see a record coach turn over of 2 in 1 season :conf:
