assuming both carney and johnson are not quite fit yet, hodgson is indeed out and that o'neill and newton can shake off their knocks this is the team i think can beat the scousers and take us to revenge @ Old Trafford
1. Radlinski
27. Briscoe
19. Wild
4. Connolly
20. Aspinwall
6. O'Neill
7. Lam
8. O'Connor
9. Newton
10. C Smith
11. Cassidy
12. Furner
13. Farrell
subs:
24. Sculthorpe
21. Bibey
22. O'Loughlin
18. Mark Smith / 17. Howard
Now i know i normally state that using mark smith on the bench is a waste of time, but i would have him their if terry is anything less than say 90% fit, but still fit enough to play. as i dont think this is a game we should move our best second rower to hooker instead we need a specilist hooker in for it
If newton is fit enough to play the 80 then i would have harvey instead of smith and go with the unusual 5 props, using sculthorpe as a 2nd rower as well if the need be and really smack the IMO weak saints pack (their strength is their backs without doubt) and we will win the game in the forwards with lam kicking them and faz hopefully running them to death.
I really hope carney is fit thought because IMO without dallas and hodgson he is the only one likely to catch darren albert should he make a break on friday although against gary i doubt he will
Team for "THE" Match
good team
I agree with your team. I'd like to think that Carney will be back, but I'm doubtfull about O'Neill and Newton, dislocations and knee ligaments can be serious. Do we have any physio's on the site???
If O'Neill doesn't make it, should we play Farrell at stand-off or Luke Robinson? I'd personally give the youngster his chance, we can always switch in the second half. Our attacking options decrease a lot with Farrell at stand-off, so I'd recommend a specialist in every position, even in inexperienced one. What do yo reckon?

Good Call
Good call on the team selection (although Wild is not really a first teamer, that shows how short we are) - the thing that frightens me if we win is collecting more injuries. I do not want to see a repeat of last year

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?
Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds
