What changes would Noble make?

Post by woz9 »

I think if Brian comes to Wigan he would make a few drastic changes, and i think he will keep us from relegatiom, but what changes would he make? Who do you think he will get rid of and who do you think he will want to sign?

moran out of the 17 for a start. No scrum half and an even worse full back!

Totally agree, he cant kick the ball to save his life, and i have noticed momentum come to a complete hault when he has the ball. No one knows what he is going to do, including the players on the field.[/quote]

Doesn't matter who he picks player wise, it's attitudes and our gameplan that needs sorting out.

True, but Moran as a player has always been one of Wigans drawbacks. Can Noble give them this big moral boosting kick up the arse? He comes across as quite a quiet fello.

Noble is a man who gets his point across in his own way, he takes no messing and will certinly make sure that players know the score. They won't get an easy ride with Noble (if he comes) but i think he will be straight to the point.

Hopefully (somehow) he can add some weight to the pack which is what we really need right now, and offload some of out useless players for free :D

Someone talks sense. Were clueless at times. Orr and Higham and Wagga made a few breaks only for no 1 to follow up.

defencivly once we went into there faces we stopped them.

Work on them and we might win a game.

It seemed today, in the first half mainly, that everytime someone slipped off a tackle London looked like scoring. We are making so many basic mistakes at the moment, and until we cut that out and merely hold the ball for our sets, we wont win anything.

i think the most important thing is to get back to basics, the game plan is terrible at the moment, we are losing game after game but stil trying to throw the ball about with our rubbish flat attacking line?? just do the basics right and the points will follow, simple sets of 6 ie 5 drives, kick into corner then defend.

our defense is the most worrying thing though, wenever someone runs at me, i find the easiest way to stop them is putting my shoulder straight underneath the ball, wrap me arms around the waist, then slide down onto the legs and pull the ankles together. there are to many of out players trying to make big hits when all that needs doing is simple defence, take the player with the ball onto the floor, turtle him on his back for a few seconds, get off and do it again. what so hard about that?
