i think the most important thing is to get back to basics, the game plan is terrible at the moment, we are losing game after game but stil trying to throw the ball about with our rubbish flat attacking line?? just do the basics right and the points will follow, simple sets of 6 ie 5 drives, kick into corner then defend.

our defense is the most worrying thing though, wenever someone runs at me, i find the easiest way to stop them is putting my shoulder straight underneath the ball, wrap me arms around the waist, then slide down onto the legs and pull the ankles together. there are to many of out players trying to make big hits when all that needs doing is simple defence, take the player with the ball onto the floor, turtle him on his back for a few seconds, get off and do it again. what so hard about that?
agree run, tackle and pass. We seem to lack any of these simple tasks. I did notice today like chris said the amount of room London had. Everytime the ball went to the centres they looked like scoring.

When we had a scrum they were waliking with their heads down. No commitment or morale.

True, but Moran as a player has always been one of Wigans drawbacks. Can Noble give them this big moral boosting kick up the arse? He comes across as quite a quiet fello.
Watch the "League Of Their Own" DVD. He does appear quiet but what he says does carry weight in the dressing room and on the training paddock.

Short of him pulling on a shirt there's little he can do when the players are on the pitch.

1. We need to get our players playing like a team, today's game showed us up as individuals whose gameplan is sorely missing.

2. We need a chairman who isn't quick to absolve himself from blame when things are going wrong. Lindsay wants us challenging for honours. 6 years on and we're in worse shape. If I did that in my work, I'd be fired. There appears to be no accountability at the top for what's going wrong and that has been trickling down to the squad.

To quote Mr Lindsay himself in today's programme notes, "The players, the coaches and the administration must all share the same ambition."

Endacott, Raper, Betts and Millward have all had to fall on their swords for this "ambition" of us being a top side and we have had the guts ripped out of the squad in the last couple of years and we are now a worse side because of this "ambition". WHAT IS THE BOARD GOING TO DO NOW TO FULFILL THIS "AMBITION"??? When are we fans who shell out our hard earned going to get some return on this? (And I don't mean a reduction in price if we fall victim to the "R word").

3. At the first possible opportunity, get rid of the Warriors nickname. I don't believe that we have been cursed since we got this tag. But it's now a joke and it is time we reverted back to Wigan RLFC.

Tell you what mate, you hit the nail on the head with that in-depth analtysis, very impressive. As far as the Noble thing goes, i just think we should be prepaered for the 'R' word, because soon enough it will become a serious reality, and my concern is, can Noble be the one to stop this from happening?

The defensive line situation is ludicrous. They are not even numbering up correctly and several are still getting into position when the ball is being played. London kept running drop offs back to where the ball came from and that is a common ploy to exploit lazy defenders not 'shutting the gate' as the line drifts sideways. A very bad sign.
