Re: WHAT IF NOBLE WALKS AW...
If Brian Noble takes Wigan on it is a good time to do so because:-.
1)We can't go any lower in the league
2)We stil have Calderwood, Fletcher,Seuseu & Vialeki to come back
3)Paleasena looked in good form against the Quins.
4)Tickle can't go on sulking much longer cause I think he will enjoy working with Noble
5)The hard fast grounds are just around the corner
6)Brian Noble is a fine coach with a proven track record.
Add to this the kids knocking on the door of supeleague and we will survive.

Yey!& Vialeki to come back

Lol but the rest of it sounds positive. Just hope it all comes true. Weather stays right, Tickle becomes good again, we can get fitness levels up etc.
Re: WHAT IF NOBLE WALKS AW...
If I was Noble and I seen that display today, I'd have said thanks a lot but no ta.
Why would a sucessful coach like him come here and get the blame for all that is wrong with the players and club.
I do hope we get him but I think he's a very brave man if he does come. Lets hope the players will show him some respect and play. They clearly had none for Milly and none for the current stand ins

Didn't Lindsay say they had four candidates besides Noble? Lam was one for certain (Mo said so) and the other two were top class Aussie coaches.thegimble posted:
If he was hed be here by now. Ive a feeling he will pull out.
If that does happen then who the heck do they bring in. They have only talked to Noble no other and we need a coach in place by tomorrow morning.
I am guessing Lowe and Anderson.
The snag is any of them will now know they are truly second choice given all the praise Mo has given Noble.
I hope that means Noble has signed but the steady back tracking from Mo gives me doubts.

After seeing todays performance (or lack of it from the majority of players out there)we need someone who will put the pride back into wearing the cherry and white.Losing hurts but to do so without giving everything hurts even more!

2. So what we were losing with this lot playing!
3. True. Still his form has been ok when he has played without effecting the results.
4. We will have to wait and see!
5. This is true for the rest of the teams in SL.
6. So had Milly!
The point being is that we have lost to "poor" teams in SL this year with a virtually full squad.
All scoring 30+ points.

Thats exactly what i saw and i reached the same conclusion as you. the decision had already been made around the time of the Kear sacking hence Macnamara staying at Bradford. The only conclusion i can come to is that the club didnt want to seem as though this had been decided so quickly after the Millward sacking and Bradford wernt prepared to destablise there own side during the crucial easter period.TWO EYED WARRIOR posted:
I also noticed on Thrusday nights game just as the final whistle went one of the back room staff hugging Noble and wishing him all the best and you could clearly read the lips of this guy saying that
I am working tonight but i am expeting to get home to the news that we have a new coach.
Fingrs crossed eh.

I'm with you on that one. I don't understand any logic behind this move from his point of view. Millward was a respectable coach before the Wigan job too and who'd take him on now?Doug Stand posted:
I just can't understand why Noble would want to take this job.
I watched the Bradford/Leeds match on Thursday and I was just so impressed with Bradford. He has a qaulity side there who know how to play and can play.
They will be there or there abouts come the end of the season and definitley in with a big shout of the cup.
Why would he want to potentially sacrifice a fantastic career in coaching by joining a team destined for relegation.
I can only assume the bag of cash that is being offered is huge and he hopes his time at Wigan won't damage his reputation too much...

He may not like the way the Bulls have been treating him. Hull come to speak to their no. 2 and the men upstairs inform McNamara that he is their choice for head coach!Doug Stand posted:

He has only a year on his contract.
Bulls are supposedly in the mire finacially and looking to offload the high earners (including Noble), the chairman has jacked, the ground/facilities are awful and their squad is looking particularly old.(Vagana, Bia, Gene as examples).
The team is ok at the mo, but if more high profile (therefore high earners) leave the club who knows they may struggle (after signing some more golden oldies[sound familiar?]) to be the force they always have been in the summer era and Nobby may see the writing on the wall.
Wigan is still the most prestigious job in SL and of course you cannot discount the shed load of money that will inevitably fall his way!
