What we could do with Brown is keep moaning about the performance of somebody so young, as lots of people on the message board did with Robinson. Maurice will release him to another superleague club where he will set the world on fire. And then we could moan at Maurice for letting him go.

I think we are on a safe bet that if he was released he wouldn't find another SL club to go to!
Compare him to Danny McQuire at Leeds and you can see the gulf between the two.
Thing is, everyone knew Robinson was a classy little player, it was his off field antics that saw him released.
Brown however, well you can see from this thread what the general census is.
Brown and Mclinden were both halfbacks playing fullback, who was the better
Moran has to play scrum half when we want to score. I thought Orr had some good moments yesterday. Not saying either were as good as the London halfbacks.
I would seriously consider at the start of matches playing loughlin at 6 and Godwin at 13 just to get off to a good solid start.

The other way round, though - don't make too many changes, and Lockers has been tried at #6 without success. Either Godwin or Higham at half-back, yes; for the brief period they've been on the field together in a few matches, we've looked to have much more attacking threats.

You could say that about most stand-offs, though. There's less of a gulf between him and Orr, which is a more relevant comparison. People are highlighting one stray pass of Brown's, yet Orr gave 3 or 4 away yesterday.

You could argue that pass was the only pass Brown made!
I thought Brown would get a run at s/o with Orr injured but Orr obviously wasn't as badly injured as first stated. If they persist with Orr at s/h and Moran at f/b we may get this anyway but I can't say the idea fills me with hope.
As to the errors, Orr was involved constantly and so was more likely to make more mistakes IMO.

Well no, it's not totally unfamiliar to him, but playing at 7 week on week and then being moved to fullback is bound to take some adjustment.
Also, I wasn't suggesting that playing Higham at 7 was by any means ideal, but desperate times call for desperate measures.
As for your comments on Brown looking old Fraggle, do you not think you're being a bit unfair? I thought he got a knock, either on his run or as he grounded the ball.
