would this mean st george offer Barret a big contract to stay, losing both your star players would be dificult for any club to replace (ring any bells to anyone? lam, farrel, rads, newton etc..)

Indeed, i'm a big fan of gasnier followed him through his youth. I am of the opinion however that he only ever manufactered a link to wigan to enhance his potential salary negotiations. However is Barratt were to come that could be a different story!

all just a dream though!

It would be a big loss for St. George, but as far the NRL and the national team are concerned, they have plenty of talent to replace him.

pah! let him go....let him be bored playing club Rugby in Australia...its
rubbish. take the money. you dont want a player who's prime motivation is
money. I think he will stay at the Dragons he is just boosting up his
contract again. he is using Rah Rah like he has used Wigan in the past. I
hope St George call his bluff!
