Gareth Hock
Re: Gareth Hock
Hock by far is one of the best tacklers in the league, never mind the team. His defence reminds me of Ian Potter, and boy could he Tackle

Re: Gareth Hock
I await his return with great anticipation. The team needs all the players it can muster and a Hock with an eye for the try line is just what the doctor ordered.Gibbo posted:

Just hope he is up for the challenge and produces what you all expect of him.
Re: Gareth Hock
If hock comes back as he was then we definately need him back.
I wonder what mentality it supposed to be that we see him alright when aparently his prolonged absence was also apparently due to his mentality if you know what i mean.
We need these players to step up to the mark and produse the goods.
too many of them sem to be along for the ride, they hardly seem bothered by the situation do they?
i know that wenyou talk to them they say all the right things but look at their attitude on the pitch and it tells a different story.
Actions speak louder than words... so, lets see some action!

Re: Gareth Hock
Would Does every one think about maybe trying hock at centre. I dont like moving peoples positions, but it minght just stengthen that other side up in defence. And it keeps him out of the middle for a bit too get his confidence/match fitness back

Re: Gareth Hock
do you think hock can make much of a diffrence when moran and orr are playing like they are ive played against hock as a amature an know he has a good pair of hands do you not think they should give him a run at stand off its not wigans forwards that are letting them down at the min
Re: Gareth Hock
Hock is a player who will try and go through a man without hesitation, If he gets stopped he gets stopped end of, I noticed on friday night a couple of times Hargreaves ran at the defence but almost stopped when he got to them, They where just able to pick him up and bang him to the floor, Hence dropping the ball near our own 20, Thats the difference with Feka he just runs at em if he gets stopped he gets stopped, No fear.

Re: Gareth Hock
Hock at centre or stand off?
After a couple of starts from the bench he should form the second row with Tickle and let Fletch prop. We would then have a starting pack including Feca, Higham, Logan and Lockers with Fletch, Jerry, Godwin and Hansen (apparently back for Salford) on the bench.

And this from someone who wants Hock at centre!! Looks like you've already had a pint too many.Gibbo posted:

Fletcher is far more capable of propping than Hargreaves and has played prop for Souths. What is your solution to our situation? Throw in more kids? :with:
