If you check out the league table you'll find that we have only scored 40 points less than salford and they're in 5th spot. This is 3 points per game...not even a try.
Unfortunatly weve conceded twice as many as them.
But my point is that Half backs are not known for thier defence, look at Long, Deacon and Robinson and Moran does try hard.
Where were going wrong is the forwards just cannot tackle and are just to lazy.
But people only look at attack and put the blame on the scrum half.
So is it all his fault or is it the fault of the forwards, including Lockers who for me is having a shocker, but never gets a mention.
I still say there needs to be more focus on the attack. Those points are important, as is the fact that we get possession again if we do score. Instead we're attacking, make an utter balls-up of things, giving possession back to the other team, conceeding a penalty for being offside/not standing square/hands in the tackle/KK hasn't blown his whistle for 30 seconds, give them another set of 6, they score and get possession back again. Our poor attack means we're giving the opposition far too much possession and that's putting pressure on all the defence. Yes, our defence is woeful, but if we didn't have to do as much defending then we wouldn't be conceeding so many points.
I'd like to know what our completion rate is like this season, I would bet it's barely above about 45%, thanks to bad handling, silly penalties, kicks on the 2nd tackle, dodgy forward passes and interceptions. If we can't keep hold of the ball and at least get the ball deep in the opposition half at the end of a set of 6 then we're always going to be up against it. For that, the scrum-half, stand-off, and all the other players need to take responsibility.
