Typical. Warriors fans have goaded and called latics fans for years on end. When latics fans give abit back now they have bragging rights you all spit the dummy out!
well said mate my thoughts exactly
this isn't about a bit of banter mate, i think it's more to do with a kid being bullied for supporting another team... he's 6 for goodness sake! Grow up and have a bit of compassion
i agree IW when latics went up this season all warriors fans were delighted by the fact that they were doing so well and were wishing them all well and latics fans have turned round and said we dont need warriors we have made the fame in wigan and i know we are not the most popular sport that is known round the world now we are getting stick its not right
always look on the bright side of life :D

what ever happens stick together !!!

simply the best, better than all the rest !!

I'm sorry Jodie but that's absolute sh1te.

I couldn't wish them & their hooligan followers anything but bad luck & if I'm honest, every one I go to the game with feels exactly the same way. No one I know was delighted & no one wished them well. You'd only get it thrown back in your face.

The sooner they're back in the northern premier league, the better.

most of my best mates are latics fans and they can't stand us, so it's no problem... in return, i can't stand them and every saturday wish them to lose, whoever they play... there's nothing wrong with rivalry, as long as people don't start taking it too far

Admirable sentiments Fawdoffshed.

But to be honest, it's quite difficult to feel that way when you've spent many a night down Wigan covering up your colours because their supporters are having a spot of rough & tumble with some other idiots the length of Wallgate!!!

anyway latics fans and warriors fans are as bad as each other. they both hate the others team for no actual reason.
To be honest though, I'd say its more to do with the people who latch themselves onto latics more than the actual team themselves.

& I'll guarantee no latics fan has ever sat in Wetherspoons watching open mouthed as some stone island clad Warriors fan has dragged the name of Wigan through the gutter yet again with his out & out thuggery!!!!

beleive it or not don it will happen as you get thugs and yobos coming supporting your team no matter what the sport. theres always idiots.

just so happens that soccer seems to be more prone to hooliganism than rugby. probably due to all the diving and play-acting done on the pitch. and no actual scraps happening to relieve tension
I agree totally & don't get me wrong, I've seen fighting at a few of our games this season ( most recently at Wakefield where that lad got cleaned out last week ) & was around in the 80's when it was a lot worse!!!

However, for such a small club with a small set of fans, latics don't half seem to attract an awful lot of these thugs, yobbos & idiots.

yeah don they've probably been wating round for a good scrap but the rugby fans probably looked a bit "tough" for them, maybe our "rough" sport scared them off. who knows.

latics do have a lot of trouble though with brainless yobs. such as one i saw whilst working the wigan portsmouth game this season. a latics fan shouted into the away stand at 5 portsmouth lads all pretty big and super excited as they'd avoided relegation to "meet him afterwards in wigan and he'd do the lot of them"

what is goin through his head?
nothing . he knew there was no chance of a dig. he,s just acting the big lad when he knew they couldn,t get at him
