Luke Robinson??????

Post by warriors »

When they played Leeds. I couldnt understand, what was wrong with him. The only thing that i could think of is(Being scared) or something like that. But why was he scared etc?

Everytime he had got the ball, i was worried, that he would give the ball away. By passing it wrong, or kicking it straight to one of the Leeds players. This has of got to of been the worst game he has played.

I think that it might be because, some of the players are missing. And he mite feel rite with this part of the team YET.

The conversion that he had kick. Where was he aimin for??? You could tell as soon as he kicked it, that he would not of scored it.

I hope that this was just a one off. Coz we all no that he is a good player. That must of bin his bad day.

. the lad is not even 20 yet.we are scraping a team together, what do you expect?who actually played better? Danny Orr certainly didn't and Lam is still injured!if wigan had finished Lams contract then we would have had another 2 players to rely on.

i'm just saying, that i dont think that he has been playing the season, as good as last season. The only thing that i can think of, it he is taking Lams place, an he might be under pressure.

I'm not quite sure what happened to Robinsons kicking tonight or his attempted conversion. I think perhaps the weight on his shoulders is too great, especially with the big men missing.
He plays in a key position. There are big men missing like Faz, at the moment his support is Orr who is new to the team and won't fit in until the likes of Faz and Cass are back. It's a big knock on effect that won't get better until the injuries ease up. Come our next SL match we'll have two old heads back and the team will begin to get better with each performance. I find it hard to believe people are saying he is over-rated. Just need to be patient.

robinson is a good lad he needs a bit of guidance from the likes of andy greg or lam. the only way he will learn is if we play him in the team against top opposition. he's got years in front of him and some day he will be vital to wigans succsess.

yep.. i would agree with grinch. robbo is gonna be good, it is just he is young & in a skilled position. needs the games to get the experience, but i still think he is maybe 2 years away from being a solid player..
don`t think anyone who we could have bought in could do a better job for us than lam... i would pick him over any current #7
there is ALOT of pressure on orr & luke to produce week in week out.. & they need the older guys out there to take some of that pressure off..
BUT they are paid proffesionals.. pressure really shouldn`t be a factor... personally i like to see robinson come off the bench as a change to lam.. worked a few times last year.. & danny orr is gonna be huge for us.. huge.. given time..

Don't forget that a scrum half is only as good as the options he is given by the team around him. You can't put a man through a gap if he doesn't run at it.

I think criticism of Robinson is way too premature. He (and a lot of the rest of the team) are only kids. They will be inconsistent. They will make mistakes. I remember Kris Rads playing in his first season and looking no better than an average first team player. He went on to become the best full-back the club has seen so far.

Ideally you introduce youngsters a couple at a time into a winning team. We don't have the luxury do do this now. Robinson, Brown, O'Loughlin, Hock, Aspinwall and even Wild are all still developing - they need support to fullfill their potential.

i still reckon he's not good enough ..maybe in the future he'll improve ..i'd love to see him come good, but meantime i'd like to see danny orr at 7,and o'loughlin or brown at 6 just to try summat different cause the present formula just aint working
