Nicely edited!
Gawd, even the Warrington fans embrace their 'Scum' nickname! (Just joking PNB, I can see you're logged on!)
So tell me do you call us scum or not?
Ive not heard that nickname or perhaps is it just the level of dialog your only capable of raising too??

Perhaps I could call you a d***head and then say i'm only joking..that would be okay would it?
NO it certainly wouldn't.

It isn't a joke Flash in anyway or form.

Somethings are exceptable top say, scouser is fine, after all thats what they call themselves!
Pie eater is fine coz you all except it and it originated from within your own borough.

..but calling some people scum and then putting joking behind it doesn't make it okay.

I wont pass my comments onto a moderator but I think this topic should now be brought to a close.

I can't tell whether you are making a legitimate point here or whether you are reinforcing Flash's :doz:

I've never heard Warrington fans been calling anything other than the old chant that ryhmes with the one the Warry fans sing. I do think they all talk like Mancs though, I work with them and it doesn't half wind up with Liverpool supporting contingent.

I don't think a topic debate into scousers any place on a site that usually is about all things rugby.
Might be a good time to close the thread Rob.

Call me what you want , mate. And please don't answer for me.

They don't call themselves Scousers. In fact they hate it. Don't you read these threads or because it isn't slagging Wigan off are you not interested.

The pie thing did not originate in our own borough. Not wishing to give you a history lesson, but it originates from the fact that we were the first to break the miners strike and had to eat 'Humble Pie'. It was most definitely a term of abuse! The reason we accept it (or except it as you put it!?!) is because we have a sense of humour. Obviously unlike you!

As for putting NL1 needs a strong Wigan on a Wigan web site whilst at the same time bleating. Like I said mate, OK dishing it out but not so good at taking it!

I think most of your posts should be brought to a close, but I am more than happy to leave them open and deal with them by answering any of the cr*p you put forward!
If you have a sense of humor why are you getting so uptight about it.

i think we all know the story behind the 'pie eaters' an the lancashire telegraph headline 'wiganers made to eat humble pie'

But wiganers cannot complain about anybody calling them pie eaters. you must remember the wembley cup finals in 1984 and 85 where every wigan banner had a picture of a pie on it, and banners like 'never mind the pies, how about some tries' and all the jokes about wigan wedding cakes aswell. wiganers have embraced that nickname and turned it around. i think the offensive part of that name dies a very long time ago. after all we are talking about the strike in 1929

no matter who you are or what you do.... we will always be better than you.....

Some people on this board have no sense of humor. As well as they like to dish out but cant take it. Whether your scouse, pie, sheep s@@@@@r (Welsh ot yorkshire), cocney or anyother name plz stop taking things personally. This is light entertainment a way od letting off steam.

If you do get offended there is another option available for you.

Stop using the board.
