AFAIK it was all set up. I can only surmise - if it doesn't happen - it is because Tony Benson has dug his heel in. His post match speech after the Rochdale game was quite spirited and defiant.

It was only going to happen until the end of the season. IM will be heading to the maroon state next season, by all accounts.

Tony Benson seems to be a very good coach so why would Leigh want to upset him by bringing in Mr Moral man?

Well if that’s true they have come down to our level.

Who would want to have this guy working at your club is beyond me

Love him or Hate him he is still a good coach. Not forgetting he has strong ties with the leigh club.

I don’t think love him or hate him comes into it!

Standards are what life is all about and Millwards standards are not acceptable in life. When Wigan signed him then it just let the club down. Our club should stand for morals and standards, Wigan have a place in our life’s, they are not just a rugby club but a way of life that young people look up to. If they waver values then how can you expect others too keep them. I was questioned the reasons why Wigan signed Millward after the allegations against him (more than one and on more than one occasion) by younger ones, it was very hard to justify if not impossible. I was not interested in what he has achieved or what he may achieve.

Rugby has nothing to do with it!
