I have been told that on Sunday Bradford accepted a deal for Fielden and Newton to move to Wigan and Calderwood and Higham to go to Bradford + £350,000. That does not mean that the players have signed for Wigan yet though because all 4 players have to agree contracts. The contract discussion is expected to take place today or early tomorrow at the JJB Stadium (or some location in Wigan).

Wigan will make an announcement if the deal has been successful or not on Tueday afternoon around midday.

I agree, personally I would keep the players already contracted and sign Fielden for next season. At the moment I am treating it as just another rumour until something official is announced.
