I think that's being unfair on Millward - he brought quite a few good players through while at Saints - Roby, Graham & Moore, for example.
Most of those are developed carefully through the academy and the foundations were already laid in place before they sacked Hanley.

Check their ages, and the date Hanley left! Scott Moore would have been about 12 years old, and the other 2 about 14. However promising they were at that age, it's the period while Millward was at saints that they developed into first team players. Roby has already been runner-up for young player of the year, and Graham is a strong candidate for this years (Although, in my unbiased opinion, I think Chris Ashton should get it!)

Yes Hanley left then, but the system was in place and the academy dealt with them in totally different circumstances. They were brought through gradually and with the help of experienced players. Whereas with KB we forced to play him because of a ridiculous injury list. Also the pressures were very different.

Agreed completely, but that's not down to the coach.
You said Millward didn't bring young players through.

I meant responsible for their development and the ability to improve the player as all good coaches do and Millward wasn't the reason.
