Good effort from the lads for most of the game.

Don't want to be negative, but Tickle was shocking again. He came on, played terribly, and then was taken off 5 minutes later.

Also, when Logan came on, I turned to the missus and said "the next penalty Wigan give away will be from a Logan high tackle". So he did it twice just to prove me right. Why does he do this, and put the team under more and more pressure?

Other than that I though Orr and Ashton were outstanding. Also good displays from Calderwood, McAvoy, Fielden, Hock and Fletcher.

Still not out of the woods, but the trees are thinning out...

Tickle was very poo, if he cant be bothered why use him when another player could have been picked, the sooner hes gone the better

was disapointed with lockers again to begin with, but thought he actually had a good game tonight and what a cracking try

good all round performance.

thought Mcavoy had a cracker of a game and should be awarded with a contract for next season as has been said in another post.

Previous poster. Logan is something like 6ft 4. Sam Obst is like 5ft nothing. Pretty hard not to grab him by the head. I thought Logan played well.

First half was excellent. Second half, game was goner. Wakey started playing miracle ball rugby. It happens.

Orr was superb. Calders is showing that given the service he will score tries a plenty.

Yeah true one of the high shots given Obst was ducking into the tackle but Logan was still swinging his arm around and despite i dont like the bloke Klein was spot on.

Pretty good summing up by Veivers in the SS bar afterwards: played outstanding for the first 50 mins, then took our foot off the gas and conceded some sloppy tries.
Fletch got coach's MoM.
Danny Orr outstanding again, as was Chris Ashton, apart from that one mistake.

At half-time I was really expecting us to kick on and score the points needed to get us above wakey, but still a massive 2 points.

Bring on the Reds!

All 14 wakey supporters were looking pretty despondent at the end, but credit them for staying to the end.

Let them beat the Wire we can still catch both if we keep winning and then we can still make playoffs then. They are in sixth so the lower in points 6th place is the better for us.
That's my view, too. I don't really think Huddersfield will be in the relegation mix - Quins or Wakey, for me, but as long as sixth remains a mathematical possibility for us, why not? Plus, a Giants win would wreck Wire confidence even more for when they play us.

I agree, it's not about staying up any more, it's about a top six place.... bring it on, we win all our games in now.. an why not??? One stumbling block.. Leeds away, how good would that be to turn them over at headingley, we should all strive to get there in our thousands, it could be a very very special night :D :D :D :
