And remember that Barrett and Bailey (and Fletch for that matter) were all "signed" (assuming that all the paperwork is done for Barrett and Bailey) before Noble was appointed,
Wasn't Baily signed after Noble was appointed?

Dave
A quick google search says you are correct, although it's difficult to know whether negotiations started before Nobby arrived or not. These things take a long time, so he may not have been involved in the original decision to sign Bailey.
According to Noble Barret was signed after him too.

I suppose the point is that we know that Dobbo works well with the Wigan team, Bailey is great where he is.....and how many greats have we bought recently who "didn´t travel well"?

I would sacrifice Fletch. Although he's played reasonably well for us especially recently along with Hock, I think we have plenty of players to fulfil that role unlike Dobbo at 7 and a quality centre is what we need when Rads retires.

i couldnt agree anymore mate! we wouldnt need to sign leulie anyway i think dobsons kicking game in general is far better than leulie's from the quins. im very happy with dobson & we should try to keep him for 2007 or even longer. if they signed leulie then i hope he just doesn't end up a no hoper like moran.

If we sign Leuluai or we do keep Dobson whats going to happen to Danny Orr next year? Am i right in thinking that he still has a year left on his contract or not?

I don't think he'll stop though it would be great if he did. Why don't they just move Orr to scrum half, with Barrett outside him. I worry about Bailey, he got a broken jaw last time i saw him play, has he recovered from that yet? How will his mental attitude be when he returns from such an injury?

He has suffered a severe facial injury before and came back just as good as before. Can't see why he wouldn't do the same again.

Yes exactly right should not affect him in the same way Vaeliki's leg injuries have affected him and should be a better performer, not that it can be hard!

Bailey is a proven test centre for Aus and i'm sure he would be worth keeping in an overseas slot over Fletch.

I would sooner keep Orr, the best thing that has happened since we signed Dobson is the emergence of Orr as a genuine attacking threat. Dobson is the guy doing all the basic things and controlling play with his kicking game, Orr is the guy who the players are running off, Orr is the guy making the breaks.
