I'm not sure if Matty Johns had any ulterior motives for coming over here. If we were daft enough to offer a lot of money to a player who was clearly not fit (hmm, sounds familiar!) then it's hardly his fault.

Good luck to Dallas. I hope that he has a good time returning home and playing for Newcastle.

good luck to him if he decides to give it a go.
I did notice the article on the bbc website had a few errors, they claim he is 30 (club website says 31, 32 in october) they claim he is surplus to requirements (i was under the impression he was going to retire)

Found this quite interesting. He may have possibly been persuaded by Brian Smith. Smithy will be coaching the Knights next year and already has a lot of say in the players they sign. I'm pretty sure Dallas played under coach Smith quite some time ago.
We'll miss you Freshy!!! Please come back!

Plus Brian Carney's at Newcastle this year, he has maybe been keeping in touch with his old colleagues back "home" at Wigan... Assuming he's still moving to Gold Coast for next year, the Knights will have a wing vacancy.

If you read it, he's not been approached yet so it's all speculation. Shame we couldn't offer him another season and offload Richards....
