BBC forum junk about faz on a move back to wigan ?????? intresting !!

Post by bigkarl »

"a press confrence will be held at the jjb tommorow at 10am to announce the re signing of andrew farrell from saracens, apparently the family havent settled down south and he will join wigan again on a one year contract with the option of another year.rugby union bosses must be well p1ssed off.my source is a certain yorkshire lad that plays in the wigan u21s,cant say no names.this is great news for rugby league though"

Can't see that being the case total Bull?? any views i cant see there being one tiny little bit of truth in this??Unless someone else knows there is going to be a confrence tomorrow that would be the only truth about this!

Can you post the link to that story please. Thanks.

As for the content, I think it pretty unlikely. Given that he's been out-of-action for months and months, with the union season just a few weeks away from starting again, why would he move back now? Although I suppose it does co-incide more-or-less with the end of the school year for his kids...

Signing over-the-hill, injury-prone ex-Union players now....?

Unlikely. But then again, so was the Fielden signing...

i heard the same rumour 3 months ago but didnt believe it. It was from a former trainer at wigan hesaid he believed faz was goin to union knowing he had a bad leg injury and would struggle to play. Funny enough hes fit to play again and linked with us again!he also said he may come back to wigan when his contract is up but thats next year

Don't forget this is from a message site and not an offical announcement. Reaching for the condiments again (insert Psycho's nan comment as applicable)!

Quite apart from the fact (as was already mentioned) that the Union season will be starting soon and that the RFU are unlikely to release Faz because it will prove that they made a mistake...

How are we going to fit him under the cap? Radlinski may be playing for free - however I somehow don't think Faz will - after all he moved to Union for the money didn't he?

If he was fit and wanted to help us; surely he should have done this a month ago?

Who is going to be sacrificed from the squad to accomodate him? Lockers?

I would imagine that the rumour stems from the fact that, as was mentioned above, Faz was seen at the JJB. However it is far more likely that he came to support Wigan rather than rejoin them.

Interviewer: So that obviously means that you're not going to St Helens and you're not going to Leeds?

Frano: I don't know why I would ever want to go to St Helens or Leeds
