For the next game i would have richards and Calderwood our wingers and vaeliki and Radders our centre's as McAvoy did'nt look interested against Wire and played really badly and Gleeson took the piss out of him imo, atleast vaeliki is good in defence.

one of the main reasons DV has been dropped is his lack of defensive qualities.Martin WWRFL posted:

Re: Dallas: 3-4 weeks out
imo i think it should look like this for the froggys game:
1. Radlinski
2. Calders
3. Ashton
4. Viaeleki
5. Richards
Ashton's one on one tackling is not good enough at the moment, radlinski is really here for his defensive qualities so i would have him at fullback, ashton's attack is superb and he played all his academy rugby at centre, i think him and calderwood would make a great combination.

I'm not sure Rads is up to a full game at FB - it's a lot more physically demanding than centre.Mrs Feka!! posted:

I'd stick with Ashton at FB, and Calderwood with Richards on the wing. Rads keeps one centre spot, and either DV or Goulding the other: haven't watched any Academy games to see how they've both been going, but on first team form, I'd have Goulding before DV - Noble seems to think otherwise, though, by including DV and not Goulding in the 20 man squads recently.

Re: Dallas: 3-4 weeks out
His 1 on 1 tackles arent so bad at all. He has saved us many a time this year. Fair enough he didnt stop Wood a meter from our libe but neither did the forward he also run over. I'd have Ashton at FB, Wing and centre as he is one of the best offloaders in the team and runs at gaps...his pace is awesome so is a good FB too.Mrs Feka!! posted:

Re: Dallas: 3-4 weeks out
As far as I'm concerned (sorry for sounding like Stevo) Dallas is still not out of the woods yet.
I know full well the aticle in the WEP says that he may play again this year but if the consultant tells him he can't, then it's curtains I'm afraid.
But, I am looking and hoping for the best on this one as we have some massive games coming up, with the likes of Leeds, Hull and Bradford, and Brett would be a key figure to miss out for us if he is ruled out of those games.

Re: Dallas: 3-4 weeks out
In the story I read, Noble said 3-4 weeks for Dallas. Next week is a week off, so that leaves possibly only 2-3 games that he would miss, rather than the rest of the season. Of course, it may be longer, but it might also depend whether he wants to carry on playing in Aus next year. If he's retiring, he might risk a bit more damage by playing sooner, whereas if he's playing next year he'll want to make sure he doesn't risk that.turf posted:
