I have some photo's of the highest quality that no one has (I took them being allowed in the dressing room and on the pitch with the players) showing Hanley and Gill fighting on the podium (friendly). One of Ged Byrne holding the base of the cup with a cig in his mouth and one of Iro talking to the spectators.

You should exhibit them or let the club have some copies, they sound an interesting record

I would not let Lindsay have anything, I don’t mind anyone else looking at them thought.

I was the one who gave the club the idea of single photo’s for sale of the players. I use to be pitch side and took one or two photo’s of players, I then at that time approached the club saying I would like to bring this idea to the club. They said it was a good idea and would get back to me, they never did and kept and used my photos I left them.

Some things never change

That Lindsay is a great bloke!

I agree my dad was the best coach.

OH his name is Eric Hughes but he managed at local football in Gwynedd.

Glad you hold him in such high respect.

Thx.

There have been some great coaches over the years, but sadly none are given the recognition that football managers are.

Which Coach would you see as the best or has been the most memorable during your life.

In mine there are:

Alex Murphy
Graham Lowe
John Monie
Dougie Laughton
Shearings they are reliable and quite comfortable

It's a trickier question than it looks, actually. It's easy to say Monie, simply because of all the success, but as has been mentioned, that team didn't need a coach - as was shown during Doherty's reign, when the team did largely coach itself.
I'd be tempted to go for Alex Murphy, as he was the one largely responsible for starting to build the side that dominated everything from the mid 80's to mid 90's, even though he left (following that well-remembered "tiff" with ML!) before his work began to show results.

If the man was here longer but unfortunatley he wernt and we all know why it would of been Mike Gregory. He had the team playing for him and we were getting to finals! But I think John Monie. Always liked his way of coaching.
