Chant what you like on the terraces (legal issues such as no rascist chanting notwithstanding), but a public website is a different thing and we have standards and rules to uphold. It's not quite total freedom of speech on here...Bear posted:

Re: Chanting
Please keep such language to the terraces rather than on here.
To be honest I'd prefer it not to be on the terraces either. We're not watching Latics.

Re: Chanting
We'll I'd generally agree with that, although I'm sure most of us have to admit to the odd swear word from time-to-time during a game!AndyLaw posted:

Re: Chanting
I'm as guilty of the next man of the odd swear word, normally directed at the referee, providing there are no kids around of course. To me blatant abuse of opposing fans and threats to kick their head in are not what I want to hear at a sporting event and not what I expect to hear at a rugby match.
One of the things that attracted me away from football to rugby was the great atomosphere and the ability to have friendly banter with the opposing fan next to you, without it ending in a brawl.
I think we need to keep rugby a friendly familly game and the only way to do this is to keep the vitriol out of the songs. The aggression should be on the pitch not off.

Agreed. I've noticed there's been a lot less swearing since Moran left, though...AndyLaw posted:
