Just imagine the scene ....

Post by AndyJones »

September 15th 2006. Wigan Vs Hull FC.

Just imagine if this game was the 'decider' as to wether we stay up, or go down. If we were below Wakefield on points difference and a win in this game would send us over, and keep us in Super League.

Can you imagine the atmosphere, a sell out JJB stadium for Wigan fans.

Now just picture this for the ultimate 'nail biting' edge of seat situation .... 77 minuites into the game the scores are tied on 12-12, Dobson kicks a ball between the sticks, giving us 13-12. A few minuites later, the final hooter sounds and there is uproar throughout the JJB stadium from over 19,000 Wigan fans! Chants would be heard all around Wigan, and the atmosphere would be belting! After the hooter, the players walk the stadium and fans are over come with joy that they can't stay in their seats, everybody jumping, shouting, clapping, cheering and making their way towards the pitch to congratulate .... and to thank the players & Nobby.

I'd love it :)

I hope it doesn't come down to that, but if it did it would be a spectacular finish to our season to keep us in the Super League - and it would definatly proove we are worthy of it.

It would be great, thing is I've had a week long fishing trip to France booked, and I get back the Sunday after the Hull game. At the time I booked it, I was presuming we would be in the playoffs and it would not be the last game of the season, and not fighting for survival. So yeah, to say I'm absolutely gutted and terrified at what may happen, that would be an understatement. I will be camping out in the middle of no where trying to catch some huge carp, totally unable to get any contact with anyone back here. I leave the Friday afternoon before the London game and get back after the Hull game, so I miss the last 2 games. Devastating or what :conf:

What a complete mindles idiot you are. Tell me, what's it like to be relegated? I suppose you have a better idea than most Wigan fans. How many fans do you average to a game? I will put my house on it not being 13,000. Oh to be a supporter of the best supported club in the Superleague, maybe one day you will find out. Only if you change your allegiances though. Why don't you crawl back under the stone that you came from. How anyone can predict who is going down when there are still five games of the season left is beyond me. You aren't safe yet.
