Sorry, Just read the last thread but I must be still asleep. I am sure it said he played 'well'?

His run to stop Ali in the corner reminded me of an overweight Wigan bobby running after a teenager after he knocked off his helmet!!! No competition.

you are criticising him for that! give him a break! he tries hard and puts in 2 good performances yet you are still not pleased. gareth hock could have lost us the game and gave away silly penalties, why is he not heavily bombarded with criticism like sean and david are? open you eyes

He's recieved some stick but his last few games have been good from him, you cant pin his display on 1 positional mistake, we all know he can tackle anyone on the park, its just a mistake he made, but we cant blame 1 man for the leeds try.

As someone stood behind me said at Leeds, he's taking away Calderwoods tries!!

As the founder member of the 'DV must GO' committee it grieves me to have to say that I thought he has upped his game sharply over the last 2 games, I thought he was much better against Les Frogs than he had been before he was dropped and that little sidestep and break and pass for Ashtons try were Lyonish, lucky perhaps he did not have to run more than 20 yards but it was sheer class.
Clinging to the hope that he is trying to impress prospective future employers.
Where is Vaelaekis girl? Even she seems to have given up on him, she will be sorry that she has missed this mini revival.

I have to be honest but i think he is awfull! He is seems to be trying which i will give him credit for, but his game is still very poor! In defence, he stands off players and leaves his tackle to late and very often concedes points. Perfect example of this was against Catalans last weekend when i think they had a try disallowed! (I think cpwigan has already highlighted this on another thread) I still see that pathetic effort to chace back Lauititi when he looks like he is running in sand! What people forget is that Danny Orr covers for him, and he can determine how Vialeki looks on the day! Without Orr covering the centre, Vialeki would be made to look even more of a fool! One on one, he does not have the pace to stop a ddecent attacking centre!
I will say this, there is certainly more effort in his game at present, but ability wise i still fear for him!
It's no secret that the missing piece to Wigan's jig-saw are two decent centres!!!

Heard a good story on Friday night about how DV was within an hour or two of signing for Saints before he came to Wigan but he chose us. How lucky can we be?

One swallow doesnt make a summer, one or two decent games from one of the highest earners at the club doesnt make him anything other than a cack signing.

you try stopping him!! Anyway calderwood or richards (the winger) should have been on the wing stopping him!

Ashton should have banged him straight in to touch, use your shoulder, not you're hands!!

DV, personally I think he sucks big time and if we are to win trophies we need better centres. However, credit where credit is due he played well v Leeds. I was shocked by his break to set up Ashton.
