:eh: Gimble I take it you have only been watching the last 8 weeks because either you fell asleep during previous matches or were in a self induced coma. Ashton was our best player from round 1.

Find it rather ironic that Ashton has played well in the last 6-8 weeks and he gets loads of votes.

Higham has been the best player all season by a long way.

Seems a season is only 6-8 weeks to some.

Also how many said he was too young before we ran to form.

1. Higham
2. Orr (played well most season)
3. Hock (played just as well as Ashton in the last 6 weeks)
sorry mate but i've been praising ashton since huddersfield last season, he was a class centre in that game

Higham was disappointing in the first half of the season, when Godwin was by far the better player. Orr was terrible up until the Catalans game; he's had 6 good games all season. Hock missed too many through injury to be in the frame. Ashton has been consistently good all season.

never once said ashton wasn't ready matey. knew he had speed and agility from watchin him last season. was just a question of seeing if he had the minerals to cope in the full back position.......... think he's answered all of his critics don't you?

Ste I think there is a stronger argument for Fletcher than Hock and I raved about Hock when everybody said he was not going to make a difference. I will tell you this we have not seen Hocky anywhere near his best yet. We will do though once Nobby gets into his head. Notice how lockers has toned his tackling down and is conceding hardly any penalties now.

I'd go along with Fletcher since he regained his form after his illness, but we're talking about the whole season here, not the back half. Fletcher missed the early part of the season due to injury and suspension, and still took a while to get back to full fitness. I don't see how anyone that's only played well for half the season can be in contention. Same applies to Hock, who's only played 12 games (out of 27).
As the voting shows, it's Ashton by a mile, with 6 times the number of votes as his nearest competitor.

Wayne godwin hasnt been mentioned half as much as he deserves to be. Just his presence on the field lifts the squad up, especially in the first half of the season when we were playing awfully. So for me it's......

1. Wayne Godwin
2. Chris Ashton
3. Feka
