Carney has had a good few seasons at wigan but the last season with us he didnt perform due to all his injuries would be good to have him back for some speed in the team but would he be able to play as good as he has done in the past
It wasn't just his last season, the previous year was nothing too sparkling either, apart from those tries late on in the season against Leeds. Again, long-term injuries were to blame, but overall I don't think we really saw as much of Carney at his best as we should have done.

For most of last season he put in very little effort and could not wait to get away. If the club had made him buy out the last year of his contract before allowing him to leave we would not have been over the salary cap, would not have sufferred a 2pt deduction or a £50k fine. Leave him to suffer with the convicts.

True Ian, but I'd have thought you'd have some sympathy with him, as it was allegedly the fact that he didn't like Millward that was at the root of his actions.

No.. his attitude in the last season sealed it for me. Anyone who takes to the field without 100% total commitment doesn't deserve a second chance. Add to the fact that he's injury prone and probably wanting a fat cheque puts the icing on the cake.
